Hi James. I’m literally just starting out in merchant services. I’ve been in consumer sales for a lot of years and ran teams. I’m super excited to start out in the industry and I’m going through your videos from the bottom up. I’m not sure if you’ve redone any of these videos with more experience under your belt and could recommend ones to look at further on hope you are well. I know you’re really busy nowadays, but it’s great to have videos from someone who started out where I am.
Is there a solution you recommend that competes with Shopify?
DC is so considerate in looking out for us by their war on little junk fees. All while simultaneously taxing us all to death. Wiping out our paychecks single handedly.

Brand new to the industry (3 months). Do you believe there is still viability in going after merchants that do not need POS systems? Or, is the vertical up solution the best way to tackle the market. I am in Las Vegas by the way and working with an ISO.

I used work for company had call center I felt guilty if I didn’t closed the deal I would flip leads in We became team . I had bad days call center had bad days. Call center would be hard job

Depends how you VA are qualifying the leads. Are they just low to low luke warm or are they trully qualified leads. 50% of Low To Luke warm sounds like a 2-5% success. In other words maybe 95-97% of the leads will fail? im just asking

I’m a business development manager for a water, fire, smoke , mold company My target audience is Plumbers and HVAC companies , we have a referral program of 500 dollars paid out to who ever refers a “for example “ water damage job and we land that job, then that plumber/HVAC/person gets the $500 etc …. Very simple and straight to the point. Having trouble with gate keepers when I walk in not allowing me to even talk to the owner of the company etc , what’s your best advice? How can I get passed these witches lol
What processors specifically?
I was at a restaurant the other day with Spoton and the owner told me that the orders were lagging to go to the kitchen printer. Customers waited almost an hour for food and he couldn’t get it resolved and SpotOn customer service couldn’t do anything. These owners go through so much pressure!

Does this all still hold true in 2024?
Excellent video as ever, James. As a hospitality MS specialist based in Dublin , Ireland ePOS now plays a huge part of what we do however so many who are so used to selling chip and pin terminals are scared of this area. You need to educate yourself, make sure you are on point and understand everything is now cloud based so it's so easy.... there's only so many standalone terminals you can sell plus epos /integrated dramatically reduces churn so my advice is get up to speed before it's too late.
Now the next video should be objective handling.

This doesn’t work in a large city. In a large city, you must go in as a technology consultant offering software integration solutions that will assist in streamline your business. He’s using a network marketing approach and selling on price. That doesn’t work in high volume businesses in 2024.

@@seanthetraveler it’s not one size fits all but I just say we stopped here because we just picked up a business as client close to here and see who else might need help, then ask who do they use, how long they e had it and if the system was perfect what would be different about it.. I do this for 6-8 hours once a week, every week consistently because I have a full time job.. but so far have 8 clients and I only started last week of April
In some cases yes i think you are correct, but it honestly depends on the vertical you go after
@@GauseyYT WHEN THE MERCHANT ASKS YOU, “OH YEAH WHO ON MY AREA IS YOUR CLIENT???”. Will you then be prepared to lie and cover up your dishonesty in your pitch??? Just go in with honesty and offer your services by knowing what value you bring to them. You must go in with a consultative approach. Unless you’re just going to small businesses who don’t need nor have a POS Solution.
